Why did the Catholic church borrow the story of Jesus?

Do you realize the ancient Egyptians had the same exact story 5000 years before Jesus was ever heard of. Egyptians had a dude named Horus, who (by way too much of a coincidence) was born on Dec 25th, born to a virgin mother, had 12 disciples, was crucified, and was resurrected 3 days later. If they truly wanted people to believe in Jesus couldn't they have come up with their own story?
